Oakdale Manor

Oakdale Manor has a rich history as one of the Phillip Estates that housed the corporate executives of The Philips Milk of Magnesia Company – founded by Charles Henry Phillips, an English pharmacist and inventor, at the turn of the 20th century. Built in 1892 at the request of his sons, it was a convenient walk away from the manufacturing plant and headquarters down the street.

In 2007, Walt Disney Studios selected Oakdale Manor to be the setting for “Grandma’s House” in the movie, “College Road Trip” starring Martin Lawrence and Raven-Symoné.  Overlooking the Noroton River, Oakdate Manor is 38 miles from NYC and within walking distance of two Metro-North train stations.  With its old Victorian charm, it is the perfect venue for business planning retreats.
